Water is so essential to human life that planning for its future use and protection is a necessity. Water is second to Oxygen as being essential for life and you cannot survive more then about four days without water.

There are serious concerns on the availability of fresh
Water and water crisis is gradually unfolding India.

Due to inadequate water supply to millions of peopledue to poor result of water management and environmental degradation, this crisis is slowly undermining the successes achieved and also endangers the economic and social prosperity of our country.

The fresh water crises is already evident in many parts of India, varying in scale and intensity at different times of the year, many fresh water eco- systems are degrading. This is not the result of natural factors but has caused by human actions. India’srapidly rising population and changing life styles also increases the need of fresh drinking water. Widespread pollution of surface,depleting water level is reducing the quality of fresh water resources.

Fresh water is increasingly taking center stage on the economic and political agenda as more and more disputes between and within states, districts, and regions and even at the community level israisingmanifold.

The root cause of the crises is the system of water rights in India which gives the ownership of ground water to the land owner,uncontrolled use of the bore well, rampant pollution of fresh water.The lack of adequate attention to water conservation, efficiency in water use, waterreuse, ground water recharge and Eco system sustainability, not using water harvesting are the few which needs to be tackled immediately.

In lowering water demand and in reducing waste water discharge volume, using reclaimed water (Treated Water supplied by Municipality) and other method by which the household, industry, farmers can use and will surely help for better planning of water for future.
