Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organized a workshop and session on “Decoding Time to Improve Efficiency” on 10th February 2018 at Rotary House, Chandigarh. The key note speaker was Mr Shammi Sukh from Delhi, who is graduate in Mechanical Engineering from MANIT, Bhopal and among various awards he is Rashtra Gaurav Awardee also.

President CMA, Mr. Deepak Dhingra, in his welcome address emphasized the need to manage time in a productive way. His example of making the not-in-time deal of torpedoes by UK, though at a cost lower by 52 per cent proving unfruitful with a surprise had pronounced telling effect.
Mr. Shammi Sukh very well connected with the audience and the session gained its momentum effortlessly as he began with simple exercises and went upto professional level.

The crux of the workshop was on realising the importance of time in conjunction with the essence behind the tasks coming before you in life. The message that time made available in life for getting the task done impacts the results in same situation was very well passed on to the audience. The importance of being aware all the time and practice of not letting the paucity of time impact your decisions adversely was ably elaborated through simple yet effective exercises, examples and slide shows.

There were many take backs, to name a few were “Nobody can make you happy or unhappy except you, yourself”, “Essence is more important than the container” “Satisfaction is the yardstick for being successful”, “Demand Vs time and vice versa”, “Invest your time for being successful”, “Use of loose”, “Urgent & Important” and so on….

About 55 CMA members attended the workshop. Attending to the audience’s queries by Mr. Sukh with his befitting explanations provided a direct understanding of the theme to participants.

It was indeed an eye opening session, quite far from the usual time management techniques.
